LIFE AT EDELMAN
INDEPENDENCE
Because we are an independent company, we’re answerable only to our clients and ourselves. So that means we can stay laser-focused on the work — and invested in your advancement and personal growth. We hire smart, passionate and curious people, and then give them the training, tools and support they need to flourish.
EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED
There is no single type of person at Edelman. We celebrate diversity — of culture, background, experience and thought — and recognize it as a powerful driver of great work. We know we are at our very best when our teams collaborate across not only geographies, practices, and expertise, but also personal points of view.
OUR VALUES MATTER
Every day, we strive to live by the values that have shaped our culture since Dan Edelman founded the firm in 1952:
- The relentless pursuit of excellence – bringing the best of ourselves and partners to our clients
- The freedom to be constantly curious – having a tenacious and thorough approach that drives creativity and growth for clients, colleagues and ourselves
- The courage to do the right thing – being a trusted and resilient partner for clients, communities and colleagues.

BALANCE
We offer flexible work time, telecommuting and reduced workweek arrangements in most of our offices. Extended parental leave for new biological and adoptive parents, family leave for eldercare emergencies, and a child and pet adoption assistance program a few of the ways we make your work life — and your personal life — more rewarding.
YOU HELP WE HELP
Have a cause you believe in? You could receive up to $2500 in funding for it, and you’ll get eight hours of volunteer time. Our Community Investment Grant program has awarded more than $800,000 in grant funding to more than 300 organizations that support causes that employees are involved in, from education to community development to health.
GROW FURTHER
You can enhance your career by participating in a variety of initiatives; apply for an Edelman Escape, a one-week break from work and $1,500 to pursue a once-in-a-lifetime experience; and, if you stick around long enough, earn a sabbatical — did someone say up to six additional weeks of paid time off?
